New Insights in Behavioral Economics

Module Objectives

The students

  • are able to apply their knowledge to a specific research question in the field of behavioral economics
  • learn to survey and evaluate the development of a specific area of behavioral economics research
  • are able to discuss behavioral economics research in plenary sessions

Content

Initially, behavioral economics was mainly successfully applied in the field of finance. In the meantime, however, other fields of economics have also benefited from the application of behavioral economic research. In this seminar, we will look at six of these fields – public economics, development economics, law and economics, labor market economics, health economics, and organizational economics – and discuss current and possible future developments.

Prerequisites

  • Participants should have knowledge in the area of microeconomics

Workload and Credit Points

  • 56 hours attendance time and 394 learning hours incl. exam(s) / 10CP
